In the basement of Exhange House IMBS installed new 24 hour critical chilled water chillers.
All pipework was prefabricated, mostly off site at the IMBS fabrication plant in Essex. All works were carried out to Class 1 standard and all welds subject to a 10% ultrasound test.
To ensure the main system to serve the critical chilled water IMBS carried out 8 shutdowns. The pipework ranged from 16″ down to 10″ and this project included the installation of 10 new pumps.
The pipework freezing was carried out by PHL who IMBS work closely with on large freezing and line tapping projects.
